Sun and Flesh (Credo in Unam)

"We cannot know ! - We are weighed down
With a cloak of ignorance, hemmed in by chimaeras !
Men like apes, dropped from our mothers' wombs,
Our feeble reason hides the infinite from us !
We wish to perceive : - and Doubt punishes us !
Doubt, dismal bird, beat us down with its wing...
- And the horizon rushes away in endless flight !... "

~Arthur Rimbaud

So i was thinking about this passage lately.. and i mean, its
nothing new to acknoledge ignorance right.. nor is this some sort
of grand revelation that im about to talk about, but its something
that the written word needs to address in particularity.

The beast that forsakes itself is the beast who gains strides in ignorance.

Most people right, little odd looking ape men walking around, with nothing
but ignorance to globally surmise from. There is never a clear picture.

Its odd to watch them.. it seems the vast majority are self inflicted with
ignorance.. like, you talk to them about one pertainent issue and they will
intentionally take offense for having introduced seriousness into their lives.
Its all terrifically fucked in nature because it is just that, natural.

Im beginning to come to terms with the fact that there are hardware limitations
on people.

Like.. serious limitations. It explains the cyclycal nature of people in
great detail. People generally dont want to think about the means to the ends
rather than the ends themselves.. such is the need to perpetuate ignorance.
The people swoon almost in an organic direction over the prospect of conserving
their guarded efforts and energies (like as in physical mass(energy) terms)
and the idea of ignorance, at least in a biological sense, fosters this.
Its pretty fuggin ugly when you get down to it.

People are ignorant because its efficient. People cannot change.. only time
changes people.. the lack of capability to handle the stresses of the world
will only cause the world to crumble. So its odd right..
