-[Why did you pick the Intel 80386?]-

I picked the 80386, simply because it was the first true 32-bit processor
for the PC.

--------------------------------------------
-[386DX Improvements over older processors]-
--------------------------------------------

* Includes full protected mode and virutal real modes
* Introduced the concepts of GUI-based Operating Systems
* First Processor to use pipelining to allow higher clock
  frequency.

-[ 80386SX ]-
-------------

The 80386SX is a processor that was designed for notebooks orignally, but
they are about 15% slower than the DX Processors. 80386SX is almost identical
to the 386DX, what makes them slower is the lower data bus width. It uses a
16-bit data bus.
